Alison Smith is the Director of Talent with STG, where she is executing the firm’s talent efforts, working across the portfolio to attract top-performing CEOs and executive leadership teams. Ali’s mandate includes the curation of a senior leaders’ network that is aligned with the firm’s investment priorities. By applying an analytical mind to every human capital situation, Ali views a company’s workforce as their best asset and market advantage. With over a decade of executive search experience, Ali was most recently a partner at True Search where she focused on recruiting go-to-market leaders and financial officers across global consumer late-stage venture and high-growth private equity clients. Prior to True Search, Ali was a Principal at TillmanCarlson, a retained executive search boutique, recruiting CEOs, CFOs, and GTM leaders. Ali began her search career at Russell Reynolds Associates focused functionally on financial officers, global asset wealth management business development leaders, and investment banking professionals. Ali also held an operating role as the general manager of Hunt Club, a human capital-focused technology services business, where she helped build and scale operations and the company’s go-to-market strategy. She started her professional career in public accounting at Crowe Horwath as a risk and compliance consultant for financial institutions. Ali holds a Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
