and access,
Alex joined Salt Creek as an Executive Partner in 2020. Over the last 30 years, he has led multiple companies and served as CEO of Amtrak during the last two and a half years of the Bush administration. Alex has worked within well-known organizations like Emerson Electric, Union Pacific, Amtrak, and Spirit Aerosystems. He has also managed smaller organizations, such as BOMAG, a German construction equipment manufacturer, and Aurizon Network, a regional Australian railroad. The common thread through all of these experiences has been building and coaching high-performing teams, applying transformational information system technology, and driving into new markets. As an example, the Australian experience was taking a low-performing legacy government operation and transforming it into a world class rail operator. Alex resides in St. Louis and has been active in the St. Louis start-up world working as a pro bono advisor to the nationally recognized start-up accelerator, Capital Innovators.
