Vasilisa Strizh represents global strategic and financial investors on complex corporate projects, including acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures, public and private equity offerings, and structured settlements. She also provides strategic advice on exit strategies for companies and funds seeking to restructure or liquidate their holdings. For more than 20 years, Vasilisa has served as the lead lawyer on cross-border deals, while successfully bridging cultural gaps for clients seeking to invest in Russia. She brings deep knowledge of the unique local business environment and government expectations from the investor perspective, extending beyond legal issues. She provides substantive transactional skills when brokering negotiations between parties as they settle and agree on difficult terms, while minimizing the stressful aspects of corporate transactions. Vasilisa also counsels clients on corporate governance and compliance matters and advises on capital market transactions and related regulatory matters. She delivers creative and straightforward guidance for these clients while skillfully navigating challenging compliance, sanctions, anti-bribery, and corruption issues. Her work spans multiple industries, including mass media and telecommunications, financial services and emerging FinTech platforms, and energy. Vasilisa is passionately engaged in Morgan Lewis’s pro bono legal work in Russia, and provides advice to charities and other nonprofits helping persons of limited means. Specific work involves providing legal counsel on charitable activity matters and fundraising, corporate advice, transactional guidance, access to healthcare and education services, mass media regulatory issues, and employment opportunities.
