Ira Gross Bio

Ira K. Gross is a partner in the Litigation department of our Boston office. His practice involves litigation of a broad range of commercial disputes, with special emphasis on matters involving financial institutions, securities and investment management, acquisitions and other complex business transactions, non-competition covenants and insurance coverage. Ira advised an investment management company, and for the first time, helped to establish the enforceability of a non-competition covenant against a portfolio manager. In other notable highlights, he also obtained dismissal of claims against the Bank of Ireland for investment losses in connection with a failed brokerage company, and successfully defended New Hampshire banking institution against series of lender liability claims. Ira also secured indemnification for a former company president in connection with freeze out claims by a stockholder, negotiated a multimillion-dollar settlement of breach of contract action on behalf of telecommunications industry manufacturer, and secured the dismissal, on First Amendment grounds, of a claim involving the corporate governance of a religious institution.
