Michael Penney advises clients on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. He has led cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public equity and debt offerings, private placements, and secured and unsecured credit transactions. He also has significant experience advising on general corporate, securities law and compliance matters. His clients have included international financial institutions, asset managers, specialty finance and business development companies, life science companies and technology companies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Penney served as General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at Hercules Technology Growth Capital, a NYSE-listed business development company, where he was responsible for overseeing portfolio investments, capital markets transactions and general corporate matters.
