Bio

Tomoya Sugimoto is a Partner of The Longreach Group, Inc. Tomoya joined The Longreach Group, Inc. in October 2003. Tomoya’s role within Longreach focuses on the mature industrial and technology and consumer related sectors. He has held key advisory roles in the acquisition and exit of OCC, the management buyout of CYBIRD, the acquisition and exit of Sanyo Electric Logistics, and the acquisition of Hitachi Via Mechanics, Sol-Plus Group, Primo Japan, and Wendy’s Japan / First Kitchen. Before joining Longreach, Tomoya was the Executive Director of Technology Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley, where he advised large Japanese technology companies on the execution of carving out non‐core businesses, acquisitions and financings. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he started his career at the Long Term Credit Bank (current Shinsei Bank) where he was focused on capital markets transactions as well as corporate financing activities mainly for the bank’s Asian clients. Tomoya holds a B.A. in Economics from the Hitotsubashi University and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth.
