Tony Liu is a Managing Director in Blackstone’s Private Equity Group and is based in Shanghai, China. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Liu was an Investment Director at SoftBank’s Vision Fund where he led investment activities in the technology sector in China. Prior to SoftBank, Mr. Liu was a Principal at TPG focusing on technology and financial services sectors. Mr. Liu has been an investor or board member in companies including Sensetime, Duxiaoman Financial, HKBN (formerly Wharf T&T), Mobike and Futurtec Medical. Mr. Liu received BS with Honors from Rutgers University and MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
