David joined TCV in 2013 and focuses on investments in the education, HR, FinTech, B2B software, and tech-enabled services sectors. His current investments include HireVue, Nerdy, Newsela, OneSource Virtual, Perceptyx, where he serves on the board of directors, Tastyworks, and Watermark. David’s previous investments include Avalara (NYSE: AVLR) and LinkedIn (public investment; acquired by Microsoft). David spent a year away from TCV (2016-2017), working at HireVue in Utah, where he helped develop their sales & marketing strategy. Prior to TCV, David worked at The Blackstone Group in the Bay Area focusing on Technology M&A. He started his career at Lighthouse Capital Partners, a venture debt provider. David became an avid skier during the winter of 2016 with its record snow fall in Utah. Back in the Bay Area, he can be found at early morning pick-up basketball games, on the road cycling, or in the kitchen, cooking with his favorite gadget: a sous vide cooker. David received his A.B. in Economics and Music from Brown University.
