Eddie Markman joined SMC in 2014 after moving to New Mexico from New York and currently oversees the firm’s accounting and financial reporting functions as well as its regulatory compliance program. He has spent his entire career working in the financial services industry and public accounting. Prior to joining SMC, Eddie was Vice President of Accounting at Ziff Brothers Investments (“ZBI”) in New York. He spent over 15 years at ZBI where he helped oversee a dynamic team of forty individuals to handle the accounting and reporting of the firm’s multi-strategy investment portfolios and back office operations. Prior to ZBI, he worked at Sony Corporation of America and as an auditor with Price Waterhouse. Eddie has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Hartford and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Mexico.
