Bio

Emel Can is the Global Head of the Group Internal Audit business unit, based in Zug. She has 23 years of experience in auditing. Prior to joining Partners Group, Emel was a Partner at Deloitte AG, where she led the Insurance Audit and Assurance practice, which she built and established in Switzerland. In a career that spans the globe, she has been responsible for the external audits of global financial services companies. She has also advised multi-national companies in the area of corporate governance, SOX implementations, IFRS, internal audit and regulatory matters. She is a certified FINMA lead auditor, Swiss and Turkish Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Istanbul, Turkey.
