Vivek Sivathanu, Ph.D., is a Vice President on the Private Equity team. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Dr. Sivathanu covered the biotechnology industry as a member of the Evercore ISI biotech equity research team. Previously, he was a management consultant at Simon-Kucher & Partners focused on commercial strategy for biopharma and medical device companies. Dr. Sivathanu holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology focused on bio-engineering, has published scientific articles in various peer reviewed journals and received a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
