Darren Green has extensive experience providing both legal and strategy advice to emerging growth companies primarily in the Midwest. Mr. Green brings to Old Willow Partners the practical combination of legal and business experience to understand the challenges of small-cap company growth. Mr. Green's areas of focus include general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, strategic alliances and intellectual property. Prior to joining Old Willow Partners, Darren was a sole practitioner. Darren has served as the Vice President of Business Development and Legal Affairs for MachineWeb.com, Inc., a venture capital backed business-to-business metalworking machinery exchange based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Green was an attorney for over 6 years with Chicago based law firms, Goldberg, Kohn, Bell Black, Rosenbloom & Moritz and Altheimer & Gray. Mr. Green earned his J.D. at the UCLA School of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. Punyu Ho, Partner Punyu Ho has more than 10 years of leadership experience in investment banking and investment management. Mr. Ho brings to Old Willow Partners the cross-border investment advisory experience required to provide clients with the necessary insights to grow their business in the U.S. market. Mr. Ho has held positions in Goldman Sachs and Citadel Investment Group, a major hedge fund in the world. Mr. Ho earned an MBA at the University of Chicago, a MS at Illinois Insitute of Technology and a BA at Beloit College. Brett Holland, Partner Brett Holland has over 15 years of experience in executive leadership, marketing, operations, and new product development for growth oriented companies. Mr. Holland brings to Old Willow Partners the experience and entrepreneurial zeal to create and launch successful new products and business initiatives. Mr. Holland is currently leading marketing and product development efforts for Rainbo Sports LLC. Prior to his current position, Mr. Holland was the President of Akoya, the leading provider of on-demand, cost intelligence software for Fortune 500 manufacturers. As President of Akoya, Mr. Holland was responsible for leading the company through a significant revenue growth period and into profitability. Mr. Holland was a co-founder of Akoya and also led the original planning, product development and marketing efforts for the company. Prior to Akoya, Mr. Holland was in charge of developing new products for one of the pioneer business-to-business Internet marketplaces, PaperExchange. Mr. Holland's tenure at PaperExchange was the result of a successful sale of the company he founded, BoxDirect. Mr. Holland developed BoxDirect into one of the premier marketplaces for the corrugated packaging industry. Prior to developing BoxDirect, he served as Vice President of Operations for Summit Container, helping triple the size of the manufacturing company in two years. Mr. Holland also worked as a consultant in environmental engineering, where he gained extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary projects for both public and private clients. Mr. Holland earned a MBA from the University of Chicago and both a MS and BS in engineering from the University of Illinois (Urbana). Kevin E. Kasmar, Partner Kevin Kasmar has over 30 years of diversified executive level experience in several disciplines, including general management, operations and finance/accounting. Mr. Kasmar brings to Old Willow Partners a wealth of experience in turning around and successfully operating small-cap firms. Mr. Kasmar has served for several years in roles of financial advisor, general consultant, turnaround agent and interim CEO, COO and CFO to various small-cap distribution, manufacturing and large consulting firms. Recently, Mr. Kasmar has expanded his project work to include an Internet marketing and advertising agency, medical services providers, and non-profit organizations. Mr. Kasmar likewise has executed "buy and build" strategies, both in the integrated supply business that grew to $223 million but which needed a turnaround effort, and in an educational supply business that grew from $23 million to $180 million in revenues. Mr. Kasmar has also contracted his management services to Accenture, Inc. ($15 billion consultancy) where he worked on key accounts in the UK and in the US. Mr. Kasmar also contributes to business education as an Adjunct Professor at the Keller Graduate School of Management. Mr. Kasmar earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA with honors from the University of Illinois (Urbana). He also completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, a program heavily attended by executives across the globe.
