Mr. DeMilt returned to Oaktree in 2020 from Kroll Bond Rating Agency’s (KBRA) Issuer Relations Group, where he served as head of KBRA’s Financial Institutions, Corporates and Funds business development teams. Prior thereto, Mr. DeMilt was a managing director in corporate development for the Z Capital Group. Previously, he was a senior vice president in Oaktree’s Marketing and Client Relations team responsible for the middle-market institutional investor relationships in the eastern half of the U.S. Mr. DeMilt first joined Oaktree in 2012 from Goldman Sachs, where he spent over ten years as a vice president in the Financing group, both in New York and London. While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. DeMilt focused on short-term debt origination and was head of the non-U.S. asset backed commercial paper origination effort. Before that, he spent three years at Fitch Ratings as a senior director in structured finance. Additional experience includes related roles with CIBC and HSBC. Mr. DeMilt received an M.B.A. in finance from Fordham University and a B.A. in economics from Washington and Lee University.
