Mr. Mackenzie is a senior vice president in Oaktree’s Opportunities group in London. Mr. Mackenzie returned to the firm in 2019 from Blackstone, where he was a principal in their Real Estate Debt Strategies business and helped to grow the team’s principal finance and special situations lending presence in Europe. Before that, Mr. Mackenzie was with Oaktree’s European Real Estate team for nearly five years, primarily focusing on private equity and distressed debt acquisitions in the real estate sector. Prior to initially joining Oaktree in 2012, Mr. Mackenzie spent over five years at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. in both London and New York, where he most recently served as a vice president in the Real Estate Special Situations Group. Mr. Mackenzie graduated cum laude from The Wharton School and College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
