Catherine Frey is a Partner of MatlinPatterson. Prior to joining Matlin Patterson in April 2013, Ms. Frey founded Frey Capital Advisors, LLC focused on raising institutional capital for alternative investment managers in the leveraged loan and distressed and high yield corporate debt markets (2005-2013). Prior to founding Frey Capital, Ms. Frey was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley (2003-2005) and a Managing Director at Bear Stearns (1993-2001) specializing in the institutional distribution of high yield and distressed securities. Ms. Frey began her career in Investment Banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (1990-1993) and Drexel Burnham Lambert (1989-1990). Ms. Frey holds a BSE from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania (1989).
