Brian Tempest is the Management Company Controller for KPS Capital Partners. KPS, through its affiliated management entities, is the manager of the KPS Special Situations Funds, a family of private equity funds with approximately $12.8 billion of assets under management (as of March 31, 2021) focused on making controlling equity investments in manufacturing and industrial companies across a diverse array of industries, including basic materials, branded consumer, healthcare and luxury products, automotive parts, capital equipment and general manufacturing. Prior to joining KPS in 2021, Mr. Tempest held the Management Company Controller title at Assured Investment Management (FKA BlueMountain Capital Management) for approximately five years. Prior to Assured Investment Management, he also spent time at Visium Asset Management and York Capital. Mr. Tempest has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the College of Staten Island and is a Certified Public Accountant.
