Bio

Andrew is a founding partner of the firm and has over 25 years of investment experience in the food and consumer products sector. He is also a member of the firm’s investment committee. As the managing partner, Andrew’s primary responsibilities are deal sourcing and strategic leadership of the firm’s investments. He values working closely with the intelligent and driven teammates who make up the firm’s goal-oriented, hard-working and fun culture. Prior to founding Kainos, Andrew joined Hicks, Muse, Tate and Furst (“HM”) in 1993, where he established and led the U.S. food and consumer products group. During Andrew’s tenure at HM, the firm invested over $2 billion in equity in over 28 platform and add-on transactions, establishing HM as a leading acquirer of food assets. Prior to joining HM, Andrew was an associate with The Carlyle Group. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a B.A. in History, and the Wharton School of Business, receiving a B.S. in Economics. Andrew is involved with Children’s Medical Center, supporting the diagnostic efforts on childhood diseases and cancers. He also serves on the boards of the Vogel Alcove, an organization which provides therapeutic educational programs for children who are experiencing the trauma of homelessness, and the North Texas Food Bank, an organization with a mission to eliminate hunger in North Texas. In his free time, he enjoys family ski trips and playing tennis.
