Dr. Morgan is an Operating Partner. Prior to being named an Operating Partner, Dr. Morgan was Managing Director of the firm from 2008-2018. Before joining J.C. Flowers, Dr. Morgan served as CEO of Westpac Banking Corporation, a global top 20 bank, from 1999 to 2008. Dr. Morgan’s experience prior to Westpac was primarily in the government and financial sectors, having begun his career working for the International Monetary Fund in the 1970s. During the 1980s, Dr. Morgan worked for the Australian Federal Treasury, where he was appointed Senior Deputy Secretary. Dr. Morgan is a former Head of the Australian Bankers Association. He serves on the Board of Director of Chi-X Australia. Dr. Morgan holds a degree in Economics (1st Class Honors) from La Trobe University. He also holds an M.Sc. with Distinction and Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics. In 2009, he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for service to the finance sector, corporate social responsibility and economic reform. As an Operating Partner, Dr. Morgan receives compensation from certain JCF funds and portfolio companies.
