Bio

David Spiro is a Managing Director at Insight and joined the firm in 2013. At Insight, he focuses on investments in both high growth and mature software businesses and is responsible for executing transactions and assisting in portfolio management post-close. David is also actively involved in Insight’s training, mentorship, and recruiting programs. David graduated summa cum laude from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma. David remains involved in the Penn community as a guest lecturer for MGMT 264 - Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Management and as judge for the Penn Wharton Startup Challenge. David lives in New York City with his wife, who together enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. Outside the office, David is an avid sports fan and has competed in over 50 professional, amateur, and junior golf tournaments.
