Bio

Mr. Weller is an Operating Principal of IOP. Mr. Weller has over 35 years of experience in all aspects of operations, finance, M&A and management leadership. Mr. Weller began his career at Bethlehem Steel Corporation, where he held a variety of finance and tax positions, eventually culminating in his role as Vice President of Finance. In 1994, Mr. Weller joined Johnstown America Industries, Inc. ("JAI"), a $500 million in sales manufacturer of railroad freight cars, as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director. At the time, JAI was a publicly traded company managed by Chicago based private equity firm, TMB Industries, of which Mr. Weller was concurrently a Senior Managing Director and Partner, and colleague to Mr. Tallering and Mr. Gottlieb. He was instrumental in growing JAI into a $1.2 billion company that, in addition to railroad freight cars, manufactured a wide variety of components for commercial vehicles. In 1999, JAI divested the railroad freight car business and changed its name to Transportation Technologies Industries, Inc. ("TTI") to reflect is exclusive focus on the commercial vehicle market. In early 2000, TMB Industries and Trimaran Capital took TTI, with approximately $500 million in sales, private. As part of this transaction, Mr. Weller was promoted to President of TTI. He served in that role until TTI's acquisition by Accuride Corporation (a KKR portfolio company), another manufacturer of components for commercial vehicles, in January 2005. The combined company, with $1.2 billion in sales, was then taken public (NYSE: ACW) with Mr. Weller becoming Executive Vice President and Director, leading the integration of the two companies. In December 2005, Mr. Weller successfully completed the integration of the businesses and ended his role at Accuride. At TMB Industries, Mr. Weller was an important contributor to the success of the various investments at TMB and developed strong relationships with many members of the current IOP team, including Ken Tallering, Adam Gottlieb and Operating Principals Jim Todd, Tom Paisley and John Colaianne.
