Thorne Michaels joined HarbourVest in 2019 and focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring direct co-investments. Thorne joined the Firm from Goldman Sachs in New York, where he was most recently a vice president and investor in the Fundamental Equity Group in the Investment Management Division. Thorne received a BS (summa cum laude) in Business with a concentration in Finance from Virginia Tech in 2013. In 2017, he received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
