Blake Holman joined HarbourVest in 2018 and focuses on sourcing and origination of complex and traditional secondary private equity opportunities. Blake joined the Firm from Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a $150 billion US public pension, where he was an associate portfolio manager focusing on investing, managing, and monitoring the private markets strategic partnerships portfolio. His responsibilities included underwriting, structuring, and negotiating both fund and direct investment opportunities, in addition to general portfolio management. Prior to this, he was a valuation analyst at Popp Hutcheson PLLC. Blake received a BA (cum laude) in Communication Studies from Texas State University-San Marcos in 2008 and an MBA from The University of Colorado in 2012.
