Bryan Semple joined Francisco Partners Consulting in 2021 as an Operating Partner with a focus on marketing and sales growth levers. Prior to joining Francisco Partners Consulting, Bryan spent several years working as both an advisor and operator with several early stage companies. Bryan is expert in the areas of B2B demand generation and high velocity sales motions and is an accomplished author and speaker on the topic. As a leader, Bryan has built and managed teams of up to 150 people in the Marketing, Product Marketing and Sales functions. After a distinguished Naval military career, Bryan jumped into technology with a selling role at Sybase. He then took on a number of successful marketing and business leadership roles, with increasing responsibilities with each company - Trelix, FairMarket (IPO to Nasdaq), Egenera (grew revenue from $1M to $100M), Onaro (acquired by NetApp), and VKernal (acquired by Dell). From 2014 to 2018 Bryan had a very successful run as the Chief Marketing Officer of Smartbear, a current Francisco Partners portfolio company.
