Bio

With Richard H. Driehaus, Eli Boufis co-founded Driehaus Private Equity, LLC in 2011 to deliver growing companies a diverse source of capital and resources beyond capital. As the Executive Principal of Driehaus Private Equity, LLC, Eli is responsible for executing the firm’s investment strategy and working with portfolio companies throughout their investment cycle. Eli began collaborating with Richard in 2001 when he joined Driehaus Capital Management’s private equity group, which he assumed responsibility for in 2002. Since then, he has advised Richard H. Driehaus on all aspects relating to his private equity portfolio. He is currently a Board Member of Utility Pipeline Ltd, Iverify, Syntac Coated Products, GrowthPlay, focus4media, and Innovative Health. He is also a member of the Investment Committee of the Balkan Financial Services Equity Fund. Prior to joining Driehaus Capital Management, Eli worked at Heller Financial’s International Group and Corporate Finance Group. A Chicago native, Eli earned a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Eli is a co-founder of DePaul University’s Driehaus Symposium and a field director of the Horatio Alger Association. Eli is also a CFA charterholder, a member of ACG, YPO, and the Economic Club of Chicago.
