Bio

Ben Gray is a Founding Partner of BGH Capital, Australia’s largest domestically focused private equity fund. Ben recently led BGH’s A$2.3 billion acquisition of leading global Education Company, Navitas. Previously, Ben was a Managing Partner at TPG Capital, where he served as the Joint Head of Asia, as the Head of Australia and New Zealand and as a member of the Global Management Committee. Ben spent almost thirteen years at TPG and led A$2.7 billion of equity investments by TPG. Ben jointly or individually led investments in Asciano, Petbarn, Healthscope, Inghams and Cushman & Wakefield, including DTZ and Cassidy Turley. Prior to joining TPG in 2004, Ben was a Director at Credit Suisse, where he worked in the investment banking division in New York and Australia from 1994. Ben received a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School. Ben is a Director of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue.
