Mr. Brock brings over 34 years of line and leadership experience in oil and gas venture management to Bayou City. He spent 30 years with Shell in the US and Netherlands before joining Kinder Morgan in the US. Prior to joining BCE, he had formed Bismuth Energy LLC, focused on oil and gas opportunity definition, acquisition, and development. As Vice President CO2 Source & Transportation with Kinder Morgan, Val led the world’s largest CO2 development and supply business, meeting the needs for CO2 enhanced oil recovery projects in W Texas, New Mexico, and Utah. Prior to joining Kinder Morgan in 2013, Val served as the leader for Shell’s global technology and business development organization for enhanced and improved recovery methods. He joined Shell in 1983 from the University of Texas (BSME and MBA), and following petroleum engineering assignments in the US Permian Basin, held various management positions including corporate planning/strategy and oil and gas field exploration, development, and operations both onshore and offshore US.
