Bio

Brian E. Hammell is a partner in the Tax group at ZAG-S&W in our Boston office. With substantial experience in advising publicly traded and closely held businesses, including REITs, Brian advises on issues related to mergers and acquisitions, business reorganizations, secured lending, debtor and creditor rights, and other commercial transactions and disputes. He has advised start-ups on issues relating to their choice of entity and structure of initial financing and provided business and tax counsel to businesses across many industries in relation to their M&A transactions. He has also represented public companies, including REITs, in public debt and equity offerings totaling in excess of $30 billion.
