Bio

Olav Perland works mainly with dispute resolution and providing advisory services in company-, securities- and contract law. He has particular experience with liability cases, including directors’ liability, professional liability and liability for misrepresentation. For several years, Olav was the head of and a lecturer in the subjects "Company Law 2 – Transactions, Stock Exchange and Securities Law" in the master study of business and economics, and "Securities Law" in the bachelor study of finance, both at BI Norwegian Business School. He is also the author of several articles on his areas of practice. Olav has a Ph.D from the University of Bergen with the thesis ”Manager/underwriter liability – Investment firms’ liability in connection with placement of shares”. He is ranked as one of Norway's most prominent lawyers on litigation and dispute resolution by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.
