Walter Byrne joined Stoll Keenon Ogden in 2016, continuing his accomplished track record of serving banks and bank holding companies over the course of three decades. He is a Member of the Banking, Business Services, and Mergers & Acquisitions practices, focusing on financial institutions law and regulation, corporate law, securities law, and chartering of financial institutions. Before joining SKO, Walt was a member of another large Kentucky-based law firm. He was also a commercial banker with First National Bank of Louisville and served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Walt remains active within the local banking and business community, serving as a director of Peoples Exchange Bank located in Winchester, KY. On a national level, he participates on the Banking Law Committee of the American Bar Association.
