Nick trained and worked with Mundays, qualifying in 2008 before joining Stevens & Bolton LLP in 2011. He became Partner in 2017. Nick advises on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, reorganisations and general corporate matters. He frequently advises private equity portfolio companies and is a member of the restructuring & insolvency practice group and the firm’s franchising group. He also acts for insolvency practitioners and purchasers in respect of sales and purchases of distressed businesses out of insolvency. He has written for the Guardian Small Business Network on web-based start-ups and is jurisdiction manager for the firm's international practice groups for Spain and Latin America. Recent transactions have included the sale of The Logic Group to Barclaycard, the sale of Updata to Capita plc, the acquisition of Livingston Group by LDC-backed Microlease plc, and the UK elements of the sale of Simpack AG to Dassault Systémes.
