Luis Souza is one of Brazil’s most respected lawyers. He built his reputation at major law firms, having initiated his career at Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice. He left that law firm in 2001 to found Souza Cescon. At Souza Cescon, a law firm that carried his name up to 2017, Luis Souza advised in some of Brazil’s major financing projects, among which are notable projects in the energy and natural resources sectors such as Petrobras’ Marlim Field project. Luis Souza currently represents GNA in the structuring of its regasification and power plant project. Education: University of São Paulo Law School (USP, LL.B.) and Notre Dame University (LL.M.), England.
