Alexandre Simões has long been a legal consultant to multinational companies in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and has coordinated projects in various industrial sectors. Prior to joining Souza Mello e Torres, Alexandre was a lawyer at Trench, Rossi e Watanabe Advogados for over 20 years, and made partner in 2005. Alexandre was project leader for important clients such as Bayer (in its acquisition of assets and intellectual property rights of a Brazilian producer of germplasm, soya and wheat seeds), The Body Shop (in its acquisition of Empório Body Store), Eastman Chemical (in its acquisition of Scandiflex do Brasil) and other prominent projects.
