William L. Meyer is a Partner in the International Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. Mr. Meyer joined the Firm in 1975. He represents foreign clients or their subsidiaries that are acquiring or selling businesses or establishing operations in the United States. In addition, he represents domestic corporations operating in a wide variety of businesses. Because of the varied nature of his clients, Mr. Meyer has a broad range of experience in corporate finance and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, venture capital transactions and public offerings. Mr. Meyer is the Firm's contact for The Interlex Group, a non-exclusive association of leading law firms in cities around the world. Mr. Meyer is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the International Bar Association. Mr. Meyer earned his B.A. degree at Vanderbilt University in 1968. Following undergraduate school, he served in the United States Navy for three years and attained the rank of Lt. J.G. In 1975, he received his J.D. degree from Emory University, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.
