Richard Slotkin is a Member of the Corporate Practice Group. Through the years, he has represented buyers, sellers and lenders in all phases of business acquisitions, dispositions and finance. He similarly brings his financial expertise to bear in his representation of lenders and developers in sophisticated real estate financial transactions. In his practice, Mr. Slotkin has had exposure to numerous industries, with particular expertise as financial counsel to hospitals and other health care providers in transactions involving tax-exempt and taxable bond and note financings, secured lines of credit, letters of credit, bond insurance, mortgage loans, asset-based loans, swap transactions and surety bonds for construction projects. He regularly represents industry-leading banks and borrowers in the corporate and asset-based lending area, both in refinance and acquisition-funding situations, including syndications and participations. He has had substantial experience in workout and bankruptcy situations, usually representing the secured lender, including structuring financings for acquisitions and dispositions of companies in insolvency situations.
