Brian Bradshaw is a partner in Sidley’s Houston office. His practice focuses on project development and finance, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions matters involving oil and gas, power and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Brian’s experience in domestic and international matters include every stage of the development, construction and financing of upstream, midstream and downstream projects, as well as conventional and renewable power projects. He has advised clients on a wide range of projects including liquefaction, regasification, refineries, petrochemical plants, natural gas and liquids pipelines, upstream development, FPSOs, FSRUs and all-related supply and off-take arrangements for gas, power, LNG, crude oil, refined products and coal. In the power industry, Brian has advised on both fossil fuel plants and alternative energy power plants, including hydro, solar, wind and nuclear, as well as transmission lines (HVDC). He also advises clients on shipping and maritime-related issues and engineering, procurement and construction contracts. Brian is widely recognized for his work. He was recently recognized as a Life Fellow by the Texas Bar Foundation (2017). He has been ranked in Legal 500 Latin America Guide (2016) and in Chambers USA for Projects: National (2009–2017), Latin America Investment, Texas (2015–2017) and Projects, Energy (2006–2013). In Chambers Global he was ranked for Projects, Latin America (2008–2021) and in Chambers Latin America for Projects, LatinAmerica wide and Energy and Natural Resources (2016–2017). Latinvex ranked him in Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers (2014). Fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, Brian brings with him extensive international experience especially in Latin America.
