I have a longstanding practice of almost 25 years in infrastructure and energy, with a focus on renewables and alternative energy. My specific expertise within this buoyant and growing part of the energy sector regularly leads to me being at the helm of a significant number of innovative and pioneering transactions. I specialise in cutting-edge renewable and conventional energy projects. My practice includes daily work within electrification and energy transition matters. These types of projects represent highly influential emerging trends which are driving the evolution of the energy system for years to come. Commitment to goals to meet decarbonisation under the Paris Agreement have remained stalwart despite the pandemic, and thankfully investors’ appetites for energy transition assets have not been sated. This has led to a robust and busy energy projects practice, where I typically advise on some of the most significant, complex, and landscape shaping projects in the market. My experience includes providing advice for realisation of multiple major projects in the Swedish and Pan-Nordic wind and solar space, power purchase/energy supply agreements, connection agreements, energy storage, transmission regimes and pipelines (including advising on structures, revenue streams, lifetime extensions and repowering in order to best exploit existing assets), advising on EV charging structures, and drafting template agreements for future energy supply, where existing models are challenged. In the areas detailed above, the clients I have advised include major investment funds, banks, developers, suppliers, off-takers, and board-led authorities such as the Swedish Ministry of Finance and the Swedish National Property Board. I have also advised the European Fund for Energy, Climate Change and Infrastructure, with the backing of six major European public financial institutions, and the European Commission.
