Bio

A shareholder in the Business practice group, David Neiers joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2013, bringing more than 26 years of experience in real estate transactions and development, banking business planning and wealth management. David has worked on both complex and simple commercial and residential real estate transactions, including shopping center development, residential subdivision and condominium development. He has assisted clients in virtually every type of transaction regarding the purchase and sale of business and investment real estate, as well as leasing of commercial, industrial, retail and farm properties and ground leases. Clients represented include financial institutions and borrowers in loan transactions, workouts, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and foreclosures. Also possessing a substantial wealth management practices, David represents businesses and their owners with respect to succession and estate planning and assists them in mergers, acquisitions and venture capital financing. He has negotiated and drafted buy-sell agreements, employment agreements, distribution agreements, non-disclosure agreements as well as many other types of agreements used in business transactions and relationships. Looking not only at the legal problems facing his clients, but also at their business goals and context, David works with individuals and businesses to craft long-term strategies that solve problems for the long term. Outside the office, David frequently travels with his wife, particularly to the coasts. He also enjoys trying new restaurants around St. Louis. Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, David was a partner at Helfrey, Neiers and Jones for 22 years in Clayton, Missouri with a practice concentrating in real estate transactions, zoning and development, real estate brokerage law, banking and finance, business and estate planning and corporate mergers and acquisitions. In 2013, his firm joined Sandberg Phoenix to complement the already substantial skills of the attorneys at the firm and to tap into additional resources for existing and future clients.
