Matt Bosworth is a partner and is head of the regulation and sports law team. He specialises in professional disciplinary matters, financial regulatory matters and the protection of intellectual property rights and copyright in both civil and criminal matters. Matt advises people and organisations on sports law, including individual, professional and amateur sportsmen and women as to regulatory and disciplinary issues. Matt also leads Russell-Cooke's Private Prosecutions & Investigations team advising clients on matter involving regulatory offences, counterfeit goods, trading standards, consumer law and the protection of intellectual property rights, acting in some of the most complex criminal prosecutions in this field. He regularly advises individuals, businesses and organisations as to the most effective investigation and prosecution procedures. He regularly advises on Reputation Management issues for individuals and organisations. He is involved in resolving sensitive and potentially inflammatory situations to allow individuals and organisations to retain their privacy. Many of these cases involve international jurisdiction work. Matt has Higher Rights of Audience to appear as an advocate in all courts. He regularly acts as an advocate in disciplinary and regulatory proceedings before Disciplinary and Appeal Tribunals. Matt has been listed in Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 since 2009 as a leader in the fields of professional discipline and sports law. Matt qualified and joined Russell-Cooke in 2005, he was appointed partner in 2009.
