Oscar Lopez Velarde has more than 15 years providing tax advice to companies operating in Mexico and Latin America with specific focus in structuring all sort of equity and financing structures for real estate, oil and gas, power and infrastructure projects, as well as advising the banking and finance industry. His practice comprises, among others, the structuring of private equity funds, mergers and acquisitions, structured financing projects, new financial products and capital markets transactions. Oscar also continuously represents taxpayers in their controversies with the tax authorities, including tax audits, mediation, arbitration and litigation procedures.
