Scott Rosenblatt practice focuses on venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, private equity and corporate restructurings as well as general corporate and business matters. Scott is a leading venture attorney, representing both venture funds and their portfolio companies and regularly advises companies and entrepreneurs on business planning and strategic matters. Notable venture fund clients include Energy Impact Fund, Edison Partners and Osage Venture Partners. Scott has extensive transactional experience in software, SAAS platforms, energy tech, e-commerce, ad tech, financial services, life science, medical devices, music and music publishing and aviation. Scott’s experience extends to corporate restructuring transactions, representing secured and unsecured creditors, investors, company executives and boards of directors in restructuring and reorganization proceedings, as well as purchasers and sellers of distressed assets. Prior to joining the firm as a member in 1999, Scott practiced with Covington & Burling (formerly Howard, Darby & Levin) focusing on general corporate and transactional matters. Scott is a frequent speaker and panelist on issues affecting the venture capital markets and has lectured on corporate law with the New York City Bar Association CLE Program. Scott also serves on the advisory board of investment funds.
