Roger Zavaleta holds a Master's Degree in Legal Argumentation from the University of Alicante – Spain and a Master's Degree in Procedural Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He specializes in the design of procedural strategies and defense in national and international arbitration, administrative, civil and constitutional litigation. His experience in each of these areas is broad and deep. He has participated and obtained favorable arbitration awards in civil, corporate, government contracting, hydrocarbons, insurance, telecommunications and infrastructure disputes. He is also an expert in administrative litigation in tax, regulatory and sanctioning matters, as well as in judicial proceedings derived from civil and corporate conflicts, and in constitutional proceedings. Roger is a recognized researcher, author and teacher in the national and international academic field. He is co-author of the book: “Razonamiento Judicial: Introducción, Argumentación y Motivación de las Resoluciones Judiciales” (2006), which has been cited by the Supreme Courts of Justice of Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru, as well as by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador. Author of book: “The motivation of judicial decisions as legal argumentation” (2015), and author in the collective works: “Civil Code Commented by the 100 best specialists in the country” (2004), “Legal argumentation in the Constitutional State ” (2013), “Legal argumentation: physiognomy from a forensic perspective” (2014), “Balance and challenges after 20 years of operation [of the CNM]” (2015) and “Commented Civil Procedure Code” (2016). He is also the author of several articles in the areas of Procedural Law and Constitutional Law, Roger has been a lecturer at the National Academy of the Magistracy of Peru and at the Center for Studies of the Constitutional Court. He has also been a visiting professor at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana – Colombia (2016), and has given diploma courses and participated in training courses in Legal Argumentation and Evidentiary Reasoning for magistrates of the Supreme Court and the Superior Courts of Lima, Trujillo, Arequipa , Ayacucho and Huaura.
