Bio

Emil Nemec is a partner specializing in mergers and acquisitions, banking and real estate law at the Bratislava office of PRK Partners. He was born in Bratislava and educated at the Comenius University Law School in the same city. After obtaining an LL.M degree from George Washington University, National Law Center in Washington, D.C., in 1992, Emil worked as an associate at White & Case in Prague and New York. He further expanded his experience and knowledge of international finance law in the years from 1999 to 2003 while working at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington, D.C., a member of the World Bank Group. As an IFC consultant, Emil was involved in greenfield and project financing in Africa, Middle East, Central Asia and the Balkans, as well as in India and Thailand. Emil is fluent in Slovak, English, and Czech. He is an attorney at law of the Slovak Bar Association, he has also been admitted to the New York State Bar and the Czech Bar Association. Emil is listed and recommended as a leading practitioner in the areas of banking and finance, corporate law and mergers and acquisitions in various directories and publications, including Chambers Europe and The European Legal 500.
