Jonathan has acted for clients in all manner of complex employment law litigation at all stages, including acting as their advocate at the Employment Appeals Tribunal, Employment Tribunal and at ACAS conciliations and mediations. He also advises on the non-litigious side of the employment law relationship for a wide variety of clients ensuring that documentation and procedures deliver what the client needs, from prerecruitment through to post-termination (including restrictive covenants, confidentiality, share and bonus incentives). Jonathan has an in depth knowledge and understanding of unionised workplaces including collective bargaining and recognition issues. As a result of his extensive employment law experience Jonathan has a unique understanding of the specific and complex issues that can arise in particular sectors, such as working time and drivers hours in industry and transport, zero hours in hospitality and leisure, and wage rates and tied accommodation in farming and agriculture. Acting for both employer and employee to give a rounded perspective in generating effective and efficient solutions. Jonathan is also an accredited workplace and employment law mediator.
