Marco Meijer has been a lawyer since 1986 and joined Penrose as a partner on 1 April 2022. In the past, he was partner at (the legal predecessor of) CMS for over 21 years and subsequently worked as a lawyer at two medium-sized law firms in Amsterdam for 8 and 5,5 years respectively. Marco Meijer specialises in employment law (in the broadest sense of the word) and corporate law. With regard to employment law, Marco Meijer focuses a considerable part of his time on corporate employment law for higher management, assisting the manager, director or administrator. Yet, he also advises companies in employment-law issues, not only with regard to collective and individual lay-offs, but also, for example, with advice on employment contracts, the transfer of a company and the position of the works council.
