Edgardo Nieves Quiles is a member in the Corporate Department. He has been with O’Neill & Borges since 1997. Between 1995 and 1997, Edgardo worked as a legislative affairs’ advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico. Edgardo’s practice is concentrated in commercial lending, secured transactions, workouts and restructuring and real estate. He represents both local and U.S. – based financial institutions. He has also represented borrowers in workouts, restructurings and discounted pay-off transactions. Edgardo’s practice is also concentrated in legislative and regulatory affairs. He represents private and governmental clients in the drafting of legislation and amendments to pending legislation.
