Peter Forstmoser specialises in corporate law, in particular in the law on stock corporations, limited liability companies and cooperatives and the liability of corporate directors and officers. He also specialises in banking & finance legislation, stock exchange law and collective investment schemes regulation. He is an advisor, legal expert and arbitrator. He is and was a member or chairman of the boards of several listed and unlisted corporations and foundations. Prof. Forstmoser devotes a substantial amount of time to advising corporations, issuers, sophisticated investors and state organisations in high profile transactions. He regularly advises clients on all aspects of corporate, takeover and securities laws and on issues of governance. Prof. Forstmoser has a strong academic background. He regularly serves as advisor on legal projects of corporate and business Law and opines and publishes in these areas. From 1974 until 2008, Prof. Forstmoser was tenured professor of corporate, capital market and business law at the University of Zurich. Since 2011, he is a permanent visiting professor at the University of Lucerne.
