Matthew Friedman is a Partner in Morrison Cohen’s Corporate Department where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and general company representation. Matt regularly represents operating companies, private equity funds, financial institutions and individuals in connection with structuring, negotiating and documenting acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, mergers, minority investments, financings, partnerships and other business transactions. He also has considerable experience providing practical “business-focused” advice to clients on matters of corporate governance, commercial contracts, employment arrangements and other general corporate matters. Matt’s practice spans across various industries (including, among others, consumer products, apparel, health and wellness, food and beverage, HVAC equipment, financial services and pharmaceuticals) and he is often involved in cross-border transactions, including recent engagements involving Italy, Switzerland, Vietnam, Sweden, Canada and China. Before joining Morrison Cohen in 2011, Matt was an associate in the corporate and financial services group of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
