George Monroe is a partner and is the Business Unit Leader for the firm’s Real Estate Group at McInnes Cooper. George’s practice is primarily commercial real estate based, with a focus on leasing (both landlord and tenant aspects), financing, acquisition and sale of commercial properties. George has previously worked as in-house counsel and as a regional real estate representative for a national grocery chain operator. This experience involved site selection, negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, development, permitting and construction issues all related to large scale multi-million dollar retail and office construction projects. George has been actively involved in the past with the International Council of Shopping Centres Legal Conference and has previously hosted the Breakfast Table portion of the Annual Law Conference.
