For 25 years, Michael Odom has represented clients in a broad variety of real estate transactions, finance, and litigation. He represents banks and other lenders as well as title insurance companies in a full range of transactions and disputes. Michael represents real estate developers and builders in all aspects of a deal, including land use planning, contract review, and litigation. He defends title insurance companies for alleged policy breaches, bad faith, and other claims and represents land owners, commercial contractors, and homebuilders in both transactions and in resolving disputes. He also represents landowners whose property is being condemned through eminent domain. Michael represents lenders in commercial loan closings, commercial foreclosure matters, problem loan remediation, negotiation of forbearance and loan modification agreements, and deficiency/recovery litigation. Michael also serves as an arbitrator and mediator. He is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrator, is registered on the Alabama State Court Mediation Roster and the Alabama Arbitrator Roster, and is a certified arbitrator for the Birmingham Better Business Bureau.
