Edward Kim is a senior foreign attorney in the corporate department. He has extensive experience in U.S. and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate spin-offs and restructurings. He represents purchasers / sponsors, sellers, financial advisors and joint venture partners. Over the course of his career, Mr. Kim has represented, among others, 3i Group, Apax Partners, Apollo Management, American Electric Power, Associated British Foods plc, BOCI Asia Limited, Boeing, BRV Capital, Bruker Corporation, CapitaLand Limited, Doosan Corporation, Goldman Sachs, GS E&C, Korean Development Bank (KDB), Korea Telecom (KT), LG Household & Healthcare, Macquarie, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Nomura Merchant Bank, Providence Equity Partners, Saint Gobain, SKC, Temasek Holdings, The Walt Disney Company and Woori Financial Group. Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Mr. Kim was a member of Kim & Chang and a partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP and Ashurst. Previously, Mr. Kim was based in New York, London, Shanghai (where he was a visiting lawyer to one of the leading law firms in China) and Hong Kong. Mr. Kim received his B.A. from Davidson College and his J.D. from Cornell Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York.
